Le Petit Chaperon rouge
Georges Aperghis

Stage director Charlotte Nessi, the imaginatively playful spirit behind the ensemble Justiniana — remember the Hansel and Gretel in natural sets at the Frasnois, that was them ! — has grown tired of watching Little Red Riding Hood press the latch to open grandma’s door. On music written in 1998 by Georges Aperghis, and in collaboration with choreographer Dominique Boivin, she decided to take another look at Perrault’s famous tale, drawing upon everything from the original version from 1667 to the outrageous zaniness of cartoonist Tex Avery. As has become custom with her shows, the audience is invited to join in the action, to live a mind-blowing dramatic and musical experience filled with humour and emotion. Not to be missed – unless you don’t enjoy having fun!
