Fantastic Birds
Ages 7 and up
The lively music of the Arcadis Trio meets the dazzling inventiveness of live animated illustrations. A soaring flight of Fantastic Birds!
For 25 years, the Arcadis Trio has explored the vast repertoire of chamber music. Now, they turn to works by Maurice Ravel in a concert brought vividly to life with live animated drawings by Grégoire Pont.
The illustrator, director and animator has made an art form of extending the magic of classical works through drawing—especially music by early 20th-century composers—and bringing their richness to life for audiences of all ages. As his drawings unfold in constant dialogue with the music, playful flocks of birds take flight in his simple, graceful lines, swooping and swirling above the musicians.
An inventive and poetic concert, full of warmth and imagination.
