In the world, in our dreams, the forest recedes. But in the fairy tales of our childhood, it still resists. It is to this realm that Étienne Saglio, one of the masters of the "new magic", has set off in quest, to take us all for a dip into a fountain of youth …
Somewhere within an enchanted woods, not far from Alice and her Wonderland, the world grows young, gains in depth, in obscurity, in rich ambiguity. Thanks to splendid sets, where the classic techniques of stagecraft unite harmoniously with special effects, we discover a world peopled by fantastic and incredible creatures dreamed up by Étienne Saglio: a Giant, as gentle and attentive as he can be disquieting; a smiling Fox, the spiritual storyteller who comes and goes without ever letting himself be caught; a Wolf, the fierce guardian of a world threatened and threatening ... The child who enters consents to his fears, because they are the price that must be paid to give rebirth to the marvellous. Then, in the deepest, darkest part of the woods, peace can return and magic resuscitate, "the inanimate can suddenly become animate ... the familiar can give way to the fabulous".
