DakhaBrakha
In resistance since the war, DakhaBrakha takes Ukraine’s rich musical identity to the highest levels: a concert full of hope and totally communicative joy.
Founded in 2004, DakhaBrakha is a musical group from Kyiv that has released seven albums. Its name comes from the old Ukrainian terms "give/take". Delving into the soul and folklore of Ukrainian rhythms, polyphonies, and traditional songs that they gathered on site, the four performers of DakhaBrakha draw out the quintessence from a melting pot of influences, including rock, tribal and world music. With their rousing percussion, vibrant costumes and vocal and instrumental prowess, DakhaBrakha hits the target: tradition enters into a dialogue with a universal musical language, giving this concert all the hallmarks of a grand evening of shared experience.
