7. TICKET TERMS OF USE

7.1 General Conditions

Tickets cannot be taken back, refunded (including in the event of loss or theft) or resold.

Anyone holding a ticket obtained through this offer is prohibited from using it for any promotional or commercial purpose, and may be subject to legal action if they do so. In particular, unless the Opéra de Dijon has specifically agreed otherwise, any sale, resale or exchange of tickets is strictly prohibited and punishable under the French Criminal Code (law of 27 June 1919). Accordingly, the Opéra de Dijon reserves the right to refuse admission to its performances to any ticket holder who has obtained their ticket from anyone other than the Opéra de Dijon or a third party duly authorised by it.

Concession tickets (subscriptions and reduced rates) are personal and non-transferable. Entry to the auditorium may be refused if the relevant proof of eligibility is not presented.

7.2 Exchanges

From the 2026-2027 season:

Tickets can be exchanged, up to a maximum of 2 exchanges per person per season. This service costs €4 per ticket, except for subscribers, whose first exchange is free. The new ticket must be of equal or greater value than the original, and the exchange must be made no later than 48 hours before the start of the performance (on working days), upon return of the original ticket. Exchanges are subject to availability and are possible only for another show in the same season. Any request to exchange a ticket for a different seat or a better category for the same performance will be refused, even if the customer is willing to pay the price difference.

7.3 Refunds

Refunds are granted for the following reasons, on presentation of the relevant supporting documents and the tickets concerned:

- Death of the customer: the tickets of the deceased will be refunded to their legal heir, on presentation of the death certificate and a sworn statement confirming their status as heir, together with a document proving the family relationship.

- Hospitalisation of the customer: the ticket of the hospitalised person will be refunded on presentation of a hospitalisation certificate covering the date of the show for which a refund is requested.

- Severe weather (where the customer is unable to travel) under a Météo-France red alert.

- Cancellation of a show by the Opéra de Dijon (see section 5, Changes and Cancellations).

The face value of the ticket paid by the customer to the Opéra de Dijon will then be refunded, on request from the person concerned, made within one month of the date of the show and on presentation of the unused ticket.

8. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PERFORMANCE HALLS OF THE DIJON OPERA

8.1 General Conditions

Each ticket entitles the holder to one seat only. Ticket holders are prohibited from selling or distributing any product or item of any kind within the Opéra premises.

Photography, filming and recording of all or part of the performance, as well as of the other areas of the Grand Théâtre and the Auditorium, are prohibited.

Eating and drinking are not permitted in the auditorium. Management may have any person who disturbs public order removed from the premises, without refund.

8.2 Latecomers

The auditorium doors are closed as soon as the curtain goes up. Latecomers will not be admitted to the auditorium. Once the curtain has gone up, seats are no longer reserved and seating will be allocated according to availability. At the interval, and only then, latecomers may take the seat shown on their ticket, provided they collected it no later than 15 minutes after the start of the performance. After this time, tickets can no longer be collected from the box office.

8.3 Children and Young People

Children under 15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who holds a ticket and sits in the seat immediately next to the child. For safety and comfort reasons, children may not under any circumstances sit on an adult’s lap. Every person, regardless of age, must have their own ticket and seat.

Children under 3 are not admitted to the auditorium, except at specially designated events.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in refusal of entry or removal from the auditorium, without refund of the tickets.

8.4 Access for People with Disabilities

In accordance with current regulations, the Opéra de Dijon provides a number of seats reserved for people with reduced mobility. These seats are limited in number and are given priority to wheelchair users. They can be reserved through the ticket office (by phone or at the box office), subject to availability.

The Mobility Inclusion rate gives a 50% discount. It is available to people with reduced mobility or a disability, and their companions, on presentation of a valid Mobility Inclusion Card (CMI). When a seat for a person with reduced mobility is required, the companion will not necessarily be seated next to them, unless the Mobility Inclusion Card (CMI) bears the words "requires assistance" ("avec besoin d’accompagnement").

9/ GIFT VOUCHERS

The Opéra de Dijon offers gift vouchers in a range of values: €5, €10, €20, €50 and €100. They are valid for one year from the date of purchase and can be used to buy tickets for any Opéra de Dijon show, subject to availability. When booking a show ticket, the booking must be made before the gift voucher expires. However, the show itself may take place at a later date.

Gift vouchers are a means of payment and do not grant admission to the auditorium. They cannot be exchanged, refunded or extended. No credit note or change will be given. If the value of the gift voucher is lower than the amount of the purchase, the holder may pay the difference with another payment method.

No refund or credit note will be issued in the event of loss or theft of a gift voucher.

Gift vouchers can be purchased at the Opéra de Dijon box office, 18 boulevard de Verdun, 21000 Dijon, France, Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, by phone on +33 3 80 48 82 82, or on our online shop at www.opera-dijon.fr.
