Choreographer and composer Hofesh Shechter invites us into the heart of his Theatre of Dreams, a powerful kaleidoscope of visions and sensations.

True to his energizing style and cinematic sense of staging, Theatre of Dreams seizes upon our collective imaginations — the fears, hopes and desires that populate our dreams, as well as the rules and expectations that govern our societies — and offers a deconstructed reading of them. To convey this vision, Shechter plays on the fragmentation of forms with a series of short scenes carried by his dancers, like an uninterrupted flow of psychedelic flashes in which sensations are amplified. Here, tenderness is sweeter and excitement more intense, as the rhythms of hearts and bodies echo the pulsations of a percussive soundtrack performed live on stage by three musicians. From this intense whirlwind — choreographed with the precision of musical notation, merging reality and fantasy in chaotic physical interplay — emerges a vision of dazzling clarity
