Experiencing the thrill of performance today and preparing tomorrow’s audience: for several seasons, the Opera of Dijon’s mediation department has been developing awareness-raising projects for school groups, from kindergarten to university. Committed to the policy of artistic and cultural education (EAC), the Opera of Dijon serves as a space for discovering works, practicing the arts, and meeting artists. Teacher training sessions and educational resources are provided to support classroom preparation. A “spectator’s booklet” is also available for groups, offering games and useful information to learn about opera and how it works while having fun.

Custom projects are created each year in collaboration with teachers from local nursery and primary schools.

High school students are invited to discover the Opera of Dijon through projects connected to their learning. The goal is always to introduce them to the arts, while giving them the opportunity to express themselves as the young adults they are becoming.

Discussions are also organised between students and the Opéra de Dijon team in preparation for their visit to the auditorium. This provides an opportunity to introduce certain knowledge beforehand, helping new audiences gain a better understanding of the performance.
