The Opéra de Dijon is a center for creative and lyrical production that designs, produces, and hosts performances where artistic excellence meets innovation, transmission, and inclusivity for all audiences.
A place where artists, technicians, audiences, and partners come together, the Opéra de Dijon has been promoting a vision of culture as a place for sharing and excellency since 2008. Each project draws on a wide range of skills and expertise in the service of musical and theatrical creation, thanks in particular to its set and costume design workshops and its permanent professional Choir.
This commitment and high standard earned the Dijon Opera House the Théâtre Lyrique d’Intérêt National label in 2017.
With nearly 100 curtain rises per year, 3 to 5 opera productions, 70,000 spectators, and more than 5,000 subscribers, the Dijon Opera House has established itself as the leading arts venue in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, offering a wide range of performances: opera, symphony concerts, recitals, dance, world music, circus arts, shows for young audiences, and more.
Beyond the stage, the Opéra de Dijon is a committed cultural actor : supporting artists, educational and training initiatives, access to culture for disabled or remote audiences, and promoting technical and artistic professions through its set and costume workshops.
The Dijon Opera plays an essential role: it promotes culture, stimulates artistic creation, brings audiences together, and nourishes the artistic and social life of the city and its surroundings.
