Ballet national de Marseille - (LA)HORDE
about

from age 12

In a show in four movements, the dancers of the Ballet national de Marseille bring to life the creations of Tânia Carvalho, Lucinda Childs, Oona Doherty and Lasseindra Ninja… like so many possible languages.

Returning to Dijon after the success of Age of Content, the dancers of the Ballet national de Marseille perform the works of four choreographers in a magnificently composed programme. Tania Carvalho explores the repetitive character of gesture and the affinity between dance and line, while Lucinda Childs showcases the brilliant rigour of her style and sense of rhythm. Oona Doherty brings to the theatre an explosively realistic urban translation of society, while Lasseindra Ninja proves the plastic power of voguing. Several generations of artists, as engaged as they are engaging, and whose different yet complementary conceptions of dance come together in the celebration of their art.
