Family Workshop | Sewing

Step inside the Opera House and discover the performing arts through a hands-on workshop! The Opera brings together many different professions, and the secrets of these trades will be revealed to you by the guest artists themselves.

Turning a sheet into a stylish beach bag, making your clothes last longer, making a duplicate of your favorite outfit, or simply sewing on a button—it’s not always easy. Stéphanie Marguier, who decided to combine her experience as an instructor with her love of sewing, is here to help you do all of that. You’ll learn how to use that sewing machine you still haven’t taken out of the box, review the basics, sew and unpick, and make progress. We’ll chat, create, and above all, do it ourselves—and it feels great. After a fun session, you’ll leave feeling proud of yourself, more comfortable with sewing, and who knows, one thing might lead to another…
