about

One is a musician at the peak of her art. The other is one of the great reinventors of contemporary dance. They each have careers that span the globe.  Either one would guarantee an evening of pure magic. What need be said when they return together?

Violinist and conductor, Amandine Beyer also likes to engage in more transversal projects: her first collaboration with Boris Charmatz (and Anna Teresa De Keersmaeker!) dates back to 2013. In Dijon, the two artists will construct an evening around two duos taken from early works by the choreographer: Herse and Con forts fleuve. How can the differences, or the tensions between these two highly contrasted compositions, drive an encounter between four musicians and four dancers? To complete the programme, in addition to a  musical interlude with the Kitgut Quartet, Beyer and Charmatz will invent their own pas de deux: accompanied in solo by the violinist, the choreographer will himself perform a world premiere.
