HOW ROMANTIC

HOW ROMANTIC is an intense dance marathon that offers a deeply ironic perspective on how we witness life’s trials. The piece echoes the dance marathons held in the USA during the Great Depression.

Here, there are no winners or losers—just 14 skilled dancers, moving in duos, alone, or in groups, navigating rhythm and sound within a precise choreography. Through feats of strength, joy, and exhaustion, they push one another in a dynamic mix of surrender and discipline. It’s a collision of order and chaos, a feverish quest for what is real.

HOW ROMANTIC creates a space to reflect on power and relationships, intimacy, the spectacle of forced entertainment, and perhaps the role of love as the ultimate finish line—even when it seems unattainable.
