Viktoria Mullova & Alasdair Beatson #2
The year 2027 marks the bicentennial of one of the greatest names in music: Ludwig van Beethoven. To celebrate the occasion, international star Viktoria Mullova will give three concerts at the Dijon Opera. This is the second installment in a series you won’t want to miss!
Following their first stop in Dijon in December, Viktoria Mullova and Alasdair Beatson are back to continue their complete series of Ludwig van Beethoven’s sonatas for violin and piano. The program features works composed at a turning point in the composer’s career, marking a period of exceptional creative intensity and innovation. The two soloists reach the pinnacle of virtuosity in a style reminiscent of the concerto: this promises to be a world-class experience, performed by the finest international interpreters of this repertoire. In a related event, the Zaïde Quartet continues its exploration of Beethoven’s works in May at the Opera.
