Sabine Devieilhe & Mathieu Pordoy
The soprano Sabine Devieilhe appears in a duo with the pianist Mathieu Pordoy for an intimate evening of German poetry, set to music by Mozart, Wolf, Strauss and Berg: an extraordinarily fine collection of musical gems.
On the programme for this recital, the works of youth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart dialogue with those of Alban Berg, tracing profound filiations and affinities between Viennese classicism on the one hand, and on the other self-taught works from the dawn of the 20th century. Between them, the masters of post-romantic lied Hugo Wolf and Richard Strauss join in the intimacy of a programme for the salon, a superb showcase for the luminous voice of Sabine Devieilhe, on stage at the Dijon Opera for the first time in recital, accompanied by the talented Mathieu Pordoy. A musical invitation engraved with shared emotion, expressiveness and beauty.
