Guest artist

After training as an actor at the Conservatoire d’Orléans and later at the Sorbonne Nouvelle, Ismaël Gutiérrez founded his first theatre company in 1995. In addition to directing classical and contemporary texts, he also creates original works. Today, he specializes in directing musical performances, including operas and musicals. In 2005, he settled in Dijon, where he continues to collaborate with major regional institutions, joining the professional theatrical improvisation league in Saint-Apollinaire (LISA 21), where he took over as artistic director in 2018. He has directed numerous musical productions, notably for the Dijon Opera (Chouette opérette, Nous n’irons pas à l’opéra), Labopéra Bourgogne (Carmen, La Belle Hélène), and the CMF Côte-d’Or (West Side Story). In theater, he writes and stages many productions for the Compagnie des Hallebardiers in Langres.
